  1. I feel that students are a bit overwhelmed by online studies and are burnt out in a way ,how to counter that .

    ReplyDelete
  2. Students and teachers are both burning out as there is no distinct segregation of free time and learning time. Parents refraining from payment of fees are exerting more pressure on teachers to enhance their teaching skills with limited guidance and equipment and time.

Dear Dignitaries, many Principals have been asking for some solutions to the problems the teachers and schools going through at this time especially in online services. Many schools have been wonderfully conducting classes with reduced duration, limited slots, adding many types of teaching aids, adding a lot of positivism in welcoming students, informal conversation, quick quizzes using chat box rather than asking a question to particularly a child, minimizing dictations and writing question and answers, using google classroom for notes, using google forms to conduct quick tests( best for all age group of students) etc and even excellent support software are available in market. Having a webinar for parents on 'PARENTING' at this time is most important. At this time parents must play the role of teachers.
Principals and heads must keep training and supporting the teachers as even the teachers of some schools are reasonably disappointed as they are not paid.
Pl. plan to address such issues to help the schools - Thanks

  43. Mr. Karthik : If Education has to primarily lead one to employability and economic independence,

  44. The idea that students should take ownership of learning is elitist. The fact that children in under developed countries come to school to get a meal, to sit in a clean place, to go to a clean toilets is the reality of India s rural map. Do you think they have the maturity to react to substandard teaching. Can students really become drivers of their learning??

  54. As Dr. Jyoti Gupta has pointed out correctly, we need to focus on skill building and
application-based aspects of learning. But when there is a fixed content to be
completed within a stipulated time as formulated by the CBSE/CISCE/State Boards,
the teaching pattern will revolve around it. Moreover, marks are the benchmarks
for admissions to top grade colleges in our country and for selections to different posts
    in Public Sector Organizations.

  56. Good Evening All the Dignitaries!!
A good number of students are not taking Online classes seriously. Teachers are helpless to monitor or to control them. Many of the Parents are not in favour of Online classes. They do not consider it as a teachin-learning mode for their children. Rather take it otherwise and pass comments hurting the teachers and the schools, although teachers are paying hard labour to prevent any learning loss of the students.

Can CBSE do something in this direction by properly guiding the schools, teachers & the parents??

  76. The session was quite informative.
Some of the suggestions can be implemented very easily.
Here all the stakeholders are putting in the efforts to make online teaching successful, but because of the personal interests it is getting effective as well as ineffective.
Instead of taking pains for those who are attending classes, Owners of the schools are worried about the non payment of fees by the parents. Most of the time of the teachers is being wasted in telecalling .
We educators are sometime not able to implement pur innovative ideas because of the lack of concern of the authorities .
Andit has become challenge to change the mindset of the Parents as well as the management of the school.
